HELLO!
I’m Allison (Alli, for short).
Presently, I handle marketing strategy efforts for multiple brands within the construction and home improvement manufacturing space, but I have worked in the educational arena, technology industry and for a golf publication. I have found that, regardless of industry, the same strategic principles (and general tactical ideas) tend to apply.
My greatest focuses, currently, are demand generation, role restructuring/streamlining for success, mapping (and clarifying) the customer experience journey by segment, automating data input processes and identifying resource gaps for development planning.
My life mantra is: “If you’re not growing, you’re dying.”
As part of that growth mentality, I have a passion for learning and fostering such through both classroom and experiential education. When I hosted high school interns for a work/study program, I developed and wrote a marketing-geared self-study for each to take; the exercise helped me to understand the interns’ strengths/weaknesses, and it aided in identifying potential opportunities within the department (in addition to the typical grunt work, like fetching coffee or organizing marketing collateral). The exercise helped me to span the development gap and start translating the classroom mentality of learning to various marketing tasks (with quantifiable goals for each intern).
Since then, I’ve pursued personal, continuing education efforts—participating in Achieve Global’s Professional Selling Skills course, taking CLE classes focused on data privacy and entrenching myself in industry/role specific conferences, serving on the board for the digital marketing certificate at the University of South Florida—and I’m presently enrolled in Florida State University’s MBA program, where I’m able to open forum/learn from both students and faculty.
